I have many authors that I enjoy reading but when I really think about it, I can only think of five that I really can say I would consider in this group, Robert Frost is my favorite poet of all times, Robert's words are so appealing and how he reaches out to his audiences, such has The Road Not Taken. S.E. Hinton, she was such an inspiration to me as for when it comes to writing, my favorite book of her's is the The Outsiders, when I was growing up I had read this book so much that I had the first page and Robert Frost poem memorized and I would walk around saying it. Johnathon and Andy Hillstrand, of Deadliest Catch, Time Bandit, these guys are my heroes, what they do and go through in one day is amazing, I am a huge Deadliest Catch fan. Another great Deadliest Catch author, Sig Hanson, wrote his family story in Northwestern and the love and respect that was displayed in his book between his dad and the boys was truly heart-warming. And my last and new favorite would be Terri Blackstock, I picked up one of her books last winter at my local library and just fell in love her sweet but strong nature as an author. She is an amazing Christian based author that also reaches out to the reader in their own spiritual life and connects it to her stories.

A lot of people see him as only a crime writer, but his writings are very extensive. His book Letters to Sam is my absolute favorite and definitely not a crime thriller.
I love that he can be so intense in his writing and he's not just a one genre author.

Nora Roberts/JD Robb - The inDeath series is one of my absolute favorites
Stephen King is just a monster when it comes to writing stories that suck me in.
Richelle Mead - new on the scene sort of. Author behind the Vampire Academy books. I enjoy her style. She blends the humor, action, and romance very well where one doesn't overshadow the other.

You might say I have a fixastion with Florida writers. I think it was more my desire to get moved here.
I had read a book, called, I think, The Queen Bee Of Mimosa Beach. I don't know her name any more but that was a really fun book.

Tayler takes you on an adventure with vibrant words and real-life experiences through the Sahara Desert. Excellent author with multiple books that can sweep you away to places half-way across the world and leave you wanting more.

One of the best pieces of advice I ever got when training to be a personal trainer was ‘always make time to exercise yourself - it’s your job to be fit.’ And I think that’s the same for writers, you should always try to make the time to read. However, that’s sometimes easier said than done, and my new year’s resolution this year is to read more! But when I do get the chance I read very much within my own genre – Marian Keyes, Sophie Kinsella, I particularly admire Cecelia Ahern’s vivid imagination in her later books. She’s not afraid to try something different than books about shopping, fashion and shoes! My writing hero however is not an author, but a script writer – Richard Curtis. He even has a small cameo part in my novel!
