Stephen King! He's probably got some great stories and he's a Red Sox fan!

i'd probably have a beer with any author because - hey it's a beer - I can find almost any author interesting. My ideal, though, would be C.S. Lewis. He was incredibly talented and shifted from one spectrum of worldview, atheism, to another, monotheism. To smoke a cigar and chug a few ales with him would be a delight.

Hmmm. Who would I want a beer with? I would have a trio. Stephen King, Anne Rice and John Grisham.

I don't know of any of my favorites who would approve of having a drink at all or with a woman alone. If I could take them to lunch then...
Eleanor Porter
Ayn Rand
Jacob Abbott
If I had to pick one who was alive Phillipa Greggory and that would have to be a diner because I would have about a million things to talk to her about and I'd keep her there allow day.

Tolkien. We'd drink out of mead horns and discuss the finer points of arthurian mythology and epic beards.

Well I don't drink so going to lunch with I would have to say Cassandra Clare. I would love to find out what drove her to right the books she has written and pick her brain about the shadow hunters. I would also have to say Veronica roth , she's an amazing author as well. I would love to figure out the details that she has in her divergent series.

Hunter S. Thompson would have to be top of the list. Not only was his writing mind blowing, let's face it, the dude could straight up party! However, for a serious discussion (and less chance of being shot or overdosing) Will Rogers would surely be a hoot. My deceased wife would say the Marquis De Sade. That statement alone makes me sound like I would pair better with Poe.

Although I'm not a beer drinker, I'd love to grab a drink with J.K. Rowling. Her personality is just fantastic! If you follow her on Twitter, you'll understand what I mean. She just seems like the kind of person that would be fun to be around.

On the contrary, I think it would also be fun to sit down and have lunch with Dan Brown. Being that his works are most historical fiction and I love history, I feel like I could learn a lot from him, even during a brief lunch.

Overall, I would have to pick Jennifer Finney Boylan overall as the author I would most like to meet and have lunch with. I admire her greatly. I'm currently reading her book She's Not There: A Life in Two Genders, but now that I've seen her physical personality on TV (on I Am Cait,) I admire here even more! :)

This is probably extremely cliche, but the author I would most want to have a beer with would be Shakespeare. I would want to pick his brain about all of the words that he invented and how he did it. I'd also want to talk to him about how he found all the inspirations for his writings.
