Terry Pratchett, no question! I have spent so many hours lost in his eccentric worlds. His book are the very essence of what fantasy novels -in my mind- should be; both a shelter from the real world and also a lens through which one can safely view the injustices real situations. In other words, the late, beloved Sir Terry would be great for a light-hearted yarn or a philosophical discussion. R.I.P. Wossname

Sydeny Sheldon because even though there are no new books of his to read, every time I reread one, I find more things I missed. Each story has so many substories that I never get bored, and I would be willing to bet he would be that charismatic in person.
James Rollins because, REALLY?!? I would like to know how anyone thinks about that much obscurity so much that they can write hundreds of pages of stories and at the end, I am so caught up, I start to question the same things!

Currently I'm on a Brene Brown kick. She writes non-fiction and talks about her personal life some and seems super cool. My researcher side would want to get a beer to pick her brain but then I'd also want to get a beer just to hang out because we have some similar interests

My top choices would definitely have to include:
Dylan Thomas.
Charlotte Bronte.
Shakespeare.
Bukowski.
Girl.
