Nice choice

I understand the problem!!! I read something I'm not familiar with by an old author or something new every day. I like seeing different styles and different ways of looking at things.

I've never really say down to ask myself who my favorite author was. I know I love romance and dramas but I never stuck to one particular aurthor. My favorite urban author is Dickey. My sis loves everything Danielle Steele. I like Patterson, but I can't quite pinpoint my favorite. Something to think about!

Two way tie, and these two couldn't possibly be anymore different from one another:

1- chuck palahniuk- He's raw and rough and his stories cut deep into the dark psyche of humanity

2- toni morrison- her books are like 300 page poems. so beautiful. her book, "Beloved" had a very significant impact on my life. I'm a white man, so that may seem odd, and its a long story, but that book means a ton to me.

I have to say that my favorite author will always be Louis L'Amour. Not only were his stories something that I grew up on. But they always took me to a place that sounded so amazing and perfect to me even though the characters were always have a rough go of things.

I always say Vladimir Nabokov. His command of the English language is second to none, and he's a Russian. It puts us all to shame!
