Thoughts on John Green...?

Post by Anisa_Sadaf »

John Green is one of my favorites. I feel like his stories really touch you. My favorite novel by him would be Paper Towns. I read it earlier this year and loved it.

Do you like his books too? If yes, then which one's your favorite? and if no, WHY?!
Give me your thoughts on this.

When I first read his books in early highschool/late middle school, I did enjoy his stories, but I also felt a bit scandalized with all his characters drinking and smoking and what not? I think his books was my first exposure to that in literature.
Now, rereading his books, that doesn't bother me anymore, but a lot of his dialogue always seems scripted to me. I do appreciate the philosophical quotes, but it just does not seem like a realistic way to constantly talk.
I will say, though, his books are always a light enough read for when I have nothing else to read.
