I think they are geared for around 10 years old, however, I've read them all too and I'm a grown adult haha. I love Carl and think he is brilliant. Tour Season hooked me! JD Gordon also does some fun books for adults as well as kids.

When I was in my early teenage years, I read Carl Hiaasen's Hoot. His novel really hit on how the environment is impacted by the things that people do. In Hoot in particular, it focuses on an endangered species of owls that are at risk due to a pancake house chain deciding to construct on top of a handful of their nests. I think it sends a good message about taking care of the world and making sure to go after what you think is right.
