RE: "Other Genres"

Post by LexieJKat »

Okay, so for about two years or so I've been downloading and purchasing several "other" genre books. What I mean by other genre is that the books are basically gay&lesbian themed (no offense to anyone). I loved the first book I read (Wanted by ML Rhodes) and I've been hooked, even going as far as to start my own writing in the genre. My question is would anyone ever read a book form this genre and if you have already what did you think and who is your favourite author? Currently mine are Scarlet Balckwell {all time favourite] and Gabrielle Evans.

Does gay & lesbian themed mean romances or are they about other issues of living as a gay in a predominately heterosexual world?

A romance is a romance no matter what the genre.

I have read books with openly gay characters in them. I don't think I have read any books that were "themed" as such.
I can imagine that there are other issues other than romance.
Hmmm...do I read books by authors that I know are gay or stories that are mostly about gay people?

No, but I guess I never thought about it.

Are some of my favorite authors possibly gay and I never knew it?
Could be.

Are you talking about issues like growing up, trying to fit in, stuff like that?
