Unfortunately no! Although I get excited because H.D. Carlton comes to Tampa quite frequently and I swear one day I'm going to run into her in the wild.

I met Deborah Harkness at the library where she was talking about her newest book, Time’s Convert. She signed my book afterwards and we spoke for a few minutes. She was so kind and it was so wonderful to meet her and listen to her speak.

I always wanted to meet Anne Rice, but I never got the pleasure. She also spoke at my local library but I wasn’t able to get in.

No, but I hope I can meet Elizabeth Gilbert some day. I love and admire her writing style in Eat, Pray, Love.

The closest thing that happened to me was meeting sportspeople in a bookstore who were there to sign and promote books about their lives.

The first three authors I ever met were Raymond Briggs, A.A. Milne and Roald Dahl. All three of them were very friendly and chatty and signed copies of their books for me. Roald Dahl lived in the same town that I lived in so I saw him many times over the years.

Yes! I met Anne Fine a few years ago. She was invited to our school, and I got her autograph.

Sadly not. I would love to meet my favorite book authors. I have attended some webinars so met them online, unfortunately not in person.

Hello all from the brand-newbiest (ha) - I grew up having a few play dates with Veronica Roth, who wrote the Divergent series. Our mothers were sorority sisters. Fun topic, enjoying reading the replies!
