God! reading you all meet your favourite author makes me so happy. And kinda sad for me.
Imagine if we had no secrets, no respite from the truth. What if everything was laid bare the moment, we introduced ourselves?

Not some international best-selling authors, but I've met some local authors in the past because my school collaborated with a national writing association to organize a writing club.

Yes! I have met Kwame Alexander, the author of crossover. One of my relatives, a librarian, was able to inform me he was going on a trip around local Texas libraries. It so happened he came to a library just a few minutes away from home. I met him and received a signed copy of two of his books. :D

I had the opportunity to meet Madeline Albrecht, our former Secretary of State (R.I.P.), at a book signing for her Prague Winter book. I also got to meet Colin Powell, another Secretary of Sate, at his book signing, and also Tom Brokaw, for his book signing. It was delightful to hear them talk about their books in person, and to get signed copies as well.

I think unless I'm in a book store where they're holding a book signing, I would never be able to identify an author on the street.

Yes. I just not met one. She trained us in a writing workshop like 2017. She is Grace Chong, a Filipino and a multi-awarded author.
