I met Ridley Pearson (author of the Kingdom Keepers series) back at like the second D23 convention, when I was about 14-15 years old. I was super nervous and stuttering as he signed my book, but he was so kind about it and waited patiently for me to tell him how big a fan I was haha!

I remember meeting F. Sionil Jose, a national artist here in the Philippines, several years ago. I ran into him while inside a bookstore and I asked him if he was who I thought he was. He replied, " Why, are you angry at that person?" It was one of the best moments in my life.

I've met my favorite author, R. A. Salvatore, at a Renaissance Fair some years ago where he was doing a book signing. Dream come true.

I met Christopher Brookmyre. He did a reading at our local library, it was an excellent evening and he was very engaging. He gave us heaps of insights and read several passages from different books including excerpts from what he was currently working on. I can imagine these promotional sessions must be quite wearing and repetitive so the fact that he had the patience and grace to give up so much time on a winter evening in Scotland was delightful.

Wendy11974 wrote: 08 Nov 2019, 00:02 I had the pleasure of meeting several authors when I worked at a bookstore. I can honestly say my favorite was Colleen Hoover. She, Abbi Glines, and Jaime MacGuire came all together and it was so much fun. They were all so nice and as authors not demanding. The worse was Rev Run and Tyrese.
Wow, I am so jealous! I want to meet Colleen Hoover so very badly! She is my absolute favorite author.
