August Strindberg's reflection
For those who have read Miss Julie, its obvious he was a hateful misogynist and that this hatred emancipates and stems from his own life where he takes out all his spite on his wife and his failing marriage by blaming her sex and womanhood in general, trying to warn women to not rebel ad step out of their social sphere. So, I wanted to ask to what extent do these autobiographical tendencies really shape the writing of an author? Would Strindberg had made such a thrilling, pulsating, controversial and nerve thrilling play if it wasn't for his bad memories and experiences? And is it true that just because you had to deal with something awful and shocking, will you be able to create similar art? Should we assume that those who were born with the silver spoon or had little difficulties in life had little to write about their internal conflict through their words? And will that impact an author's piece of art?
I'm asking this question to understand what really an author goes through when he writes a novel, and how it impacts their writing.

Many authors admit to a percentage of autobiographical content. People go through a variety of experiences in their lifetime, both good and bad, so it's logical this can spill over into their work; even if through a fictional character.
Writing tutors often advise first-time students to write what they know best. And what they don't, research thoroughly, because there's always a reader who will smell falsification a mile off.
