I love Tamora Pierces books! Any other author suggestions?

While on bed rest I discovered Tamora Pierce. I know she writes for a "young adult" audience but I absolutely love her work!! :D Now that I am finished with Mastiff (the last book in the Becka Cooper series) I am actually kind of sad. This means I have officially read all of her pieces.... I just love how emotionally connected I get to the charectors and I also enjoy that she makes the women so strong and such an important piece of the story! Does anyone have any author, series or book suggestions for me?

Laini Taylor is really great if you like fantasy (it contains elements of both urban and high fantasy). Strong female characters and absolutely GORGEOUS prose. Kendare Blake is also quite good.
