Ian M. Banks and his Sci-Fi series. I'd left the genre alone for about a decade, picked one of his up and just zoomed right back in. Amazing stuff.

I love all of Michael Crichton's work. Because most of his books are standalone, they're easy to read at any time. Jurassic Park was a gateway into all of his amazing writing.

Laura Ingalls Wilder's books were the first full series that I received as a gift. My favorite was Farmer Boy!

For me it was Enid Blyton. As a kid, I had read the full series of secret seven and famous five. I still like reading them sometimes.

That was me as a child too! The Secret Seven books were my bedtime reading for a good few years (I was a slow reader, and then I reread them).

Virginia Woolf. It was for a school project and we have to choose an author and write 5 original inspire by the author (life or work). We only have to read one of their work but I ended up reading all of Virginia Woolf's work, including her essay. My final product was 19 pages long, didn't got the best score but I'm still proud of myself

Gillian Flynn. I started with 'Dark places' and went on a roll with her books. Unfortunately, she only has three. My favourite was 'Sharp Objects'. I can't wait for her next book, or if anyone knows another.

Mary Higgins Clark. I started reading her works at a young age and I am still trying to read all of her novels. I always loved the fact that as I completed a book, she seemed to come out with another one. It meant that I would never run out of new material. However, since she has passed, I know that one day I will eventually read everything she has. When that happens, I have the amazing task of picking another author to read all of their works.

For me, Tayma Tameen has been one author whom I am looking forward to reading all her books. I have read Valoria by her and I'm currently reading Mirrored Worlds which is by her too.
