What would be a good Dan Brown book to begin with? I have heard the most about The Da Vinci Code, but I also understand that it is part of a longer series. Are there any good standalone Dan Brown books that anyone would recommend?

I'm yet to read The Lost Symbol. My friend loves it and I want to surprise him by discussing it with him

Inferno was the first Dan Brown novel that I read. That novel was one of the best that I read at the time of its release. The plot and the characters were splendid. Eagerly waiting for his next work.

My favourite is Da Vinci code. Without a doubt, his works are wonderful and amazing, and kept me in my toes but Da Vinci code is the book I keep coming back to.

I liked The DaVinci Code the best. I stayed up all night because I could not put it down! He's an amazing storyteller, and his writing just hooks you.

I've always been of the opinion that Dan Brown is overrated, so I tend to steer clear whether it is rational or not. I did really enjoy Angels and Demons when I was in high school, however.

The Lost Symbol, and Angels and Demons remain my favorite Dan Brown books. Reading these two books engaged both my mind and emotions.

I am ashamed to say I only read one of his books, Origin. I enjoyed it a lot. I was tempted to stop reading it a few times though. The struggle between religion and science made me think a little deeper. I will try his books again.
