Indian Authors Suggestion

Post by pkumbla »

Hi,

Can anyone suggest very good novels by Indian authors ? I have mostly read all the books by Chetan Bhagath and I loved reading the works of RK Narayan. Works of Ruskin Bond are also nice to read. Can someone suggest few more such authors please ?

There are a lot of books by Indian authors. You can try 'God of Small Things' by Arundhati Roy, 'Bringing up Vasu' by Parul Sharma, 'Ancient Promises' by Jaishree Mishra. There are a lot of books available from Indian authors. Hops you have a nice time. Enjoy.

Q & A (the book that Slumdog Millionaire is based on) by Vikas Swarup. Everyone raves about the movie, but the book is approximately one million times better. It is hilarious, smart, engaging, and both heart-warming and heart-wrenching. Superb storytelling, and a few Dickensian twists. I recommend this book anytime anyone mentions the movie. If you loved the movie you have to read the book!
