Newcomer looking for new material!

Post by millermiller »

hey hi, i haven't read in quite some time and i'd love to jump right back in. the only problem is, i don't know one author from the next. i'm kinda set out for someone who's style is drenched with cliche and folky type dialogue; something that reflects some sort of poetic "old man wisdom" with as much cheesyness as is sincerity. i'm all for old novels (mid 19th century and +) though i don't want to tie myself down as i tend to keep an open mind. as far as genres go: i've always been attracted towards surreal things, strange plots and what have you. i'll read non-fiction from time to time but i always like a bit of oddity. a dash of adventure never hurts either.

i know i'm being probably as unspecific as it gets, but all i'm asking of you is to list some authors who might hit the spot for me. thanks a ton!!!

Oh, then you definitely have to search the google by name Carlos Castenada or Don Juan and you can get free PDFs online for free, lots of adventures, master theory and so much to say about it but its better if you find them on the web and go through it, let me know if you feel interesting and also I can share them if you want. Thanking you
