I am very guilty of this, I remember titles but not authors. My favorite is Jeannie Nicholas though

Of course! Remembering authors' names is very difficult for me, especially because I have recently been trying to diversify my reading. So constantly trying to remember the names of new authors has proven to be quite the challenge.

Jip, I have the same problem. I can't remember the authors but 99% the title and the plot, which is frustrating to say the least. I've tried in the past to make lists of authors and their books, but that didn't last long either.

I think most readers are better at remembering titles and story line. Truly we only remember authors of we come across them time and again or if we have to write reviews 😃.

Writing reviews here has really helped me remember authors names that I otherwise wouldn't.

When I was in high school I used to keep a log of what books I would read, the author, and why that book caught my attention. However, to this day I only remember the authors' names if I read at least two books they have written. I am thankful for google because if I am trying to find a specific book and/or author, I write the description of the book in the search bar. :lol2:

I read the title and all I felt was guilt. Sometimes I read a book and I enjoy and appreciate the context inside yet, I never seem to remember the author but remember book titles and the book plot.

If I get hooked on an author I find myself reading all their books. Then one day someone suggested, “The Light Between Two Oceans” and I loved the book. This showed me that many authors write good books. So, I do not remember every author I read.

I view myself as a book hoarder and if I find a good book or series I buy everything by them I can find and that helps me remember somewhat.. but if i am reading on my phone :? I'm screwed. God forbid I find a good audio book in some long list of them, because then I'm flummoxed

I am honestly so terrible with names and hardly remember authors names, but I can remember books!

Guilty as charged. I tend to remember the name of the author only after I read like 3 to 4 books about them. I remember the stories if I have to name the author I don't know.

I'm better with remembering author names than I am with titles, which is really saying something since I can barely remember an author's name unless I read more than 3 books by them.

I may remember if I am reading a paperback or a hardcover. Becomes difficult if it is an eBook that I am reading!

Yes, I hate it when I have read a book I really enjoyed and could not remember the author who wrote it. Especially when you want to recommend that book, but you can't because you can't remember the author's name.

I can hardly remember the names of books once I finish them. I’m definitely bad at remembering authors unless I’ve really liked someone and read several of their books.

I will forget the author's name if I read just one of their works. I will remember the story, characters, but not the author, or the book title. When I read exceptional novels, I will do extra research on the book and author and that will cement the author's name and title in my mind.
