I tend not to remember an authors' name, and I do not consider it a big deal, however, it really gets to me when I can't remember the title of a book that I really enjoyed.

I remember the story and particularly poignant phrases that jump out at me. I barely ever remember authors, which is why I store the list of books I read. I want to be able to read the works of an author later if I really liked his book. With tools like Goodreads and Bookshelves here, that is becoming much less of a problem.

100% Guilty. I read so much of everything that I have a hard time remembering both the author and titles. I'm really glad there are online book shelves to help out with that these days.

I will forget the author if the book did not interest me but for an interesting book, I will rarely forget the author.

I tend to remember authors better when I've read enough of their books that I search for more of them and so I have to know their name to look. Or if there is some external experience that connects their name in my memory, like movie adaptations, a discussion about an author's book in the context of successes and failures of the author, publicity and advertisements, etc.

Guilty as charged.

The only reason I remember an author's name is if he/she has written a series I fell in love with. Otherwise, I'm usually clueless about the author.

Reading books online makes me more familiar with the author's point of views

Guilty. I often forget the authors of books I've read. But then, I read a lot. So sometimes, I don't remember the titles either! Especially if it's a book that wasn't so memorable. I also have the same problem remembering the names of singers, songwriters, and composers of music.

I remember the title first unless it a series then I will remember it by that; for example Harry Potter, Twilight, Lord of the Rings, etc. Usually I don’t remember authors at all unless I’m rereading the book(s) a lot.
