Definitely Ernest Hemingway. Not because I love all his novels or think he's a great person. I just think he's the type you can get drunk with and talk about the important things. I think he has an interesting mindscape based on the books he's written and i'd like to get an up close look at it.

I want to go have lunch with Steven Chbosky! I want to know what other humane ideas he has within him. I want to discuss how much I love Perks of being a Wallflower and how grateful I am that he wrote this book!

I love and respect Bukowski and Poe equally, although they are very different. Rather, Edgar Poe is the love of childhood, and Bukowski is of youth.

Jane Austen and the Brontë sisters. I really want to know what it was like to be a female author in the 18th and 19th century and how these amazing women writers found the inspiration for their essays and novels despite the lack of the internet and relative lack of freedom and rights in society for women at that time.

I don’t drink beer, but I’d love to have lunch/coffee with Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie. With her humor and intelligence, it would definitely be fun!

Honestly, I'd love to have a beer (or lunch) with Sir Terry Pratchett. I recently discovered his Discworld series, and it broke my heart to realize that he had already passed away before I knew of this series. His works are incredibly insightful, satirical, and bittersweet. He recognizes society's flaws, but provides solutions in his books - his works always end with a note of hope, of redemption. I wish I had the chance to meet him, and just ....enjoy his company. He gave me the impression of being a warm, caring, wonderful person.
