Ted Dekker or Frank Peretti?

I read one book that both Ted Dekker and Frank Peretti wrote together called House. I enjoyed the book a lot. I thought it was intense and had a high amount of action and excitement. Which author do you prefer, or do you like both? Are there any specific books of theirs that you like more than others?

I loved Frank Peretti's This Present Darkness. He also wrote a young adult book called Nightmare Academy that i liked. I didn't care much for House, I'm blaming it on Dekker. Lol

Oh, I am reading This Present Darkness right now. I am only a couple of chapters into it, so we will see how I like it when I really get into it. I thought House had a lot of action in it but it was strange too. So I have been trying to figure out which author goes more for the actions, and which one goes more for the strange part lol. I have never read Nightmare Academy though. I will have to check that one out. I am just trying to find some decent Christian authors that write thrillers. Can you think of any others authors that might be interesting for me?

Terri Blackstock is another christian thriller author but I've never read anything by him. I actually have not read many thrillers...more into the christian fantasy genre.

I have heard of Terri Blackstock. I think I even have one of his books, but I just haven't gotten around to reading it yet. I will keep him in mind though and see if he is any good. I usually go for Christian romance novels, history novels, or suspense novels.

I have to admit that I couldn't finish This Present Darkness because it was just a little too weird for me. I still have several other books by Frank Peretti and Ted Dekker. So I still plan to read those before I make any opinions of these authors.

I have only read Peretti, and while I loved both books, The second one called Piecing the Darkness was my favorite. I recommend reading both back to back. They are good books regardless of belief. Fun stories

Honestly, I have never heard of Ted Dekker but I did read a couple of Frank Peretti books during my teenage years and remember liking them, though they were a bit strange I thought.

Thank you Escapeartist, Jojowrites4All, and Ealasaid for responding to my post. I hope you enjoy This Present Darkness, and please let me know if there are any other books from either one of these authors that you like. Like Ealasaid said, I have found Frank Peretti to be quite strange. I am going to try some Ted Dekker books to see how his writing style is. Looking forward to any other suggestions that you guys might have :)

I never read a Frank Peretti book, though House sounds like a book I would enjoy. I will read This Present Darkness as well.

As for Ted Dekker, I have read all the Books of History Chronicles (Circle, Paradise and Lost, 13 books)
and loved them all.

Start with the Circle books, (Black, Red and White) then skip Green and do the Lost series next.

I have only heard of Ted Dekker before this post. I am on the first book in the circle series and have been enjoying it so far. I will have to look into Frank Peretti.

Thank you SheikL and blueme14 for responding to my post. House was a very interesting book, and the one that I have enjoyed the most so far. I am interested in reading the History Chronicles. They seem to be very interesting, and so do the Circle books.
