Pearl S Buck

Post by debbiebee »

I recently heard a biography of this writer serialised on the radio, and it was fascinating. Are there any fans of her out there, and if so, which works would you advise me to start with?

I advise you to start with her book "The Good Earth". I have read it in my youth and loved it. I may reread it sometime to refresh my memory.

I read The Good Earth in school. Didn't like it much. Now that I'm older, I might have a fresh take on it. But realistically, I will probably never read it again.

The Good Earth is a classic place to start with Pearl S. Buck. I really loved Pavilion of Women by her- if you like the style you should check it out.

"The Good Earth" is a fantastic book. A book that can get you so hooked from start to finish. Definitely re-reading it soon.

I would also recommend "The Good Earth," which is one of Pearl Buck's prominent novels.
