I recently read The Way of Kings by Brandon Sanderson and loved it. My only problem is that the book is quite long. Does he have any other books that are a bit of a quicker read?

Try reading the Mistborn trilogy and continue the story in Alloy of Law. You may also read the Reckoners series which is not that deep but a fun reading series. Sanderson is currently the best fantasy author here along with Patrick Rothfuss.

I think they would be the best recommendations. As far as I'm aware, The Way of Kings are some of his longest books so don't be scared off Sanderson by them :).

Yeah. But the StormLight Archive is the awesomest series out there with epic characters and a fantastic magic system. IF you can you should continue reading the series. Also a new book in the Mistborn trilogy is releasing this month. Can't wait to read it. :D

Yeh starting with alloy of law :). I loved the mistborn series and can't wait to get back into that world again.

Jim butcher series? No I haven't. Would you recommend?

I'm planing on reading the wheel of time series. My friend has lent me books so for once it won't be an expensive habit :-p

:/ I was dreaming of reading the wheel of time series but then they are soooo lengthy.. Haven't got the courage to start them. Such lengthy books can be read only if you have hard copy. Jealous of you. :D

And yeah. Would definitely, 200% recommend you the dresden files. Have a little patience at the start but when it kicks off, man you'll be blown away! I have ebooks if you want.

I love long books, they don't put me off for one minute. Normally they are more complex in story and more immersive :)

Really? Aww that's so kind of you :). Thank you, that would be lovely :)

I love long books. Reading a book and having snacks, ultimate fantasy. Standalone books are not my forte. Long series encompassing books are much more fine grained and descriptive. WOT just seemed too long. Think I'll have to start on them though. Epic High fantasy isn't complete without them.
