I've only read the Kite Runner and I thought that it was an awesome book. I read it for a book club I was running at the time, but it was about 10 years ago. I remember the movie coming out but I haven't seen it.
I really enjoyed the characters and how the story was woven together.

Man this thread seems fairly old but Khaled Hosseini is one of my favorite authors and I've enjoyed reading all three of his books. I'm desperately waiting for a fourth. I could speak on his books for days.

Khaled Hosseini is my favorite author. His novels are beautifully written, and very well thought out.

Oh lord, don't get me started. Khaled Hosseini's novels make me cry. I can't forget The Kite Runner. What happens to Hassan's boy is completely tragic and I literally cried reading the part where Amir first meets him. It reminds me of how children in real life actually have to live.
Not only are Hosseini's writing very intriguing and interesting, his writing style is exquisite and he always manages to make the reader feel as if he/she is the protagonist.

I have read The Kite Runner, A Thousand Splendid Suns and And the Mountains Echoed. All of them were amazing but my favourite was The Kite Runner. A real tear-jerker this one.
The way the author weaves the lifes of Amir and Hassan through the tumultuous times of Afghan war was breathtaking. Every chapter in the book lets you slowly build a breathtaking movie like that of a beautiful jigsaw puzzle coming into place.
In the end, there's only onw question. Is nang (pride) and namoos worth the love between relationships? I rate all of them four out of four.
What are your thoughts on his books?

You would've noticed in
The Kite Runner that the story revolved around two boys. In
A Thousand Splendid Suns, its between two girls.
And the Mountains echoed portrays the relationship between a boy and a girl. In those aspects, Khaled covered all possible combinations!

I liked The Kite runner. It was traumatic, but that is what life is sometimes. He had me crying at "For you, a thousand times over ".
But I also loved A thousand splendid suns . Strong female characters are my thing, but the two characters in the story portrayed how strong a woman can be even in the darkest phase she faces.
I've read only two of his books and I loved both of them.

For you a thousand times over. Just six words but so many paragraphs strong. Whenever I picture Hassan running for that dreaded kite and screaming this, I become more and more assured that Amir doesn't deserve him.
The Kite Runner screams 'Your actions have consequences'. What do you think of the inference?
