Gabriel Garcia Marquez

Post by chytach18- »

I have recently discovered Marquez, or it would be more honest if I say rediscovered. I tried to read One Hundred Years of Solitude when I was too young (I guess) and I didn`t understand it. A few months ago I re-read it and I fell in love with the book. Now, I`m reading The General in His Labyrinth and I love it too, although this book is not that famous as Solitude. last night I watched the press conference form FIFA, then I read a passage from The General: "Stay", said the Minister, " and make one final sacrifice to save our country". "No, the General replied, "I no longer have a country to sacrifice for." Ring any bells? :liar:
