What a great author... My sister in law has been raving about her, and I wanted to know if anyone had any suggestions on a good one to start off on.

Thanks!

That depends on whether you're wanting just a straight romance novel or one of her other books (the kind I prefer) where there is a storyline apart from the romance. Here are some of the ones I've enjoyed:
The Hollows trilogy, the Circle Trilogy, Carolina Moon, Birthright, and Tribute. There are lots more that I can't think of right now.

She also writes crime stories as JD Robb, if that's what you're into

Vision In White is a really good one about a wedding photographer.

Northern Lights was another one I loved about an unexpected love story in Alaska…It really depends what kind of plot you’re looking for.

So I actually heard a rumor that Leann Rimes and Eddie Cibrian had an affair on the set of Northern Lights, Lifetime's remake of one of Nora's books... Did anybody hear about this? Makes me want to tune in tomorrow to see the movie, that's for sure.

So I thought Midnight Bayou was a little too out there for me... But Claire from Lost is in the next movie, so it may just be worthwhile.

I was kinda disappointed with High Noon... The lead star needs to go back to that Lost island where she belongs...

Ha I totally agree. High Noon was not my fav! I liked Midnight Bayou so much more. I hope the next movie Tribute is just as good. No more of this High Noon stuff. blah!

I prefer her work as JB Robb. The In Death series have romance, mystery and sci fi all mixed in one.

On Lifetime they have been playing a series of Norah's books. The movies were really good and I thought they really lived up to the books!

Did anyone catch the tribute movie over the weekend? I really enjoyed it. Took me about 30 minutes to feel that way, but there was so much suspense! I did not expect that ending at all....

Nora Roberts is the preeminent queen of the family sagas. Nobody does it better

Her best books are her older ones, there was an Irish Sisters trilogy for instance that is great but avoid her newer stuff because it's same old same old after about the 3rd trilogy you read of hers

Actually queen of family sagas was more of Danielle Steel in her very early days.

High Noon was okay but again, it was very similar to some of her other stand alones....in the middle of the Lifetime movie of it on Demand and it appears to be following the book very accurately.

I've read like 3 of her books and really liked them, but I can't
tell you what the titles were and the stories are all jumbled
together in my head. lol!

SHe's like a Danielle Steele.
