I thought it was an awesome story and it was cool how much Japanese culture and history I learned from reading it (not to mention a little of the language). I'm about to start reading the rest of Clavell's "Asian Saga" soon.

yes i loved all his books and like u say they really seem 2 take u away.king rat is an excellant little prisoner of war story.i wana read them all again now but ive already got so much i,m lookin 4ward 2 reading.enjoy your clavell

Sorry, I can't list all the books I have read this year! I have read about 150-200 already and it is only May in a few days. My most recent has been two series by Chloe Lang and Tara Rose.
