An Author You Would Love to Meet and Discuss Books With?

I've met a couple of local authors before, and I remember meeting children's authors when I was in elementary as well.
However, my by far favorite author to meet was Richelle Mead.
For those that don't recognize the name, her most popular novels are those of the Vampire Academy series. I've developed great friendships because of that series. She's also released just this year, the first of her newest trilogy: The Glitterinh Court. I'm pretty sure I'm going to enjoy those even more than VA.
I finally had the honor of meeting her in November, and she was just as wonderful as expected. She talked about her new novels (and even her old), told childhood stories, and then sat for two hours talking to each fan individually. When it was my turn, I told her that she was part of my inspiration as a writer myself, and that I too (because she told us a story about this) wrote my first 'official' novel at the age of nine. I even got to pose a joke picture with her which she later put up on Twitter! Even now, she still keeps up with me via Twitter.
Does anybody else have any great author meet and greet stories like that, or stories you would one day like to happen?

Our book club had a couple of local authors attend and discuss their books with us. Beverly Fisher ([amazon=]https://www.amazon.com/Grace-Among-Leav ... g+leavings[/amazon] came and describe how her book is being turned into a play. Another author, who I cannot remember at the moment, also came. Really can't believe I can't remember who she was as she came to my house and was really a nice person to meet! May come back to my memory later!

Wow this is hard because I have several I really respect. If I had to pick one out at this moment it would be Terri Blackstock. She is a Christian writer.

I've met Michael Connelly at signings, but would love to pick his brain over a beer.

I would be thrilled if I could meet both Dr. Seuss and James Patterson. I wouldn't talk about just their books, I would want to know their opinions on writing, their process, and advice they could give me.

With Dr. Seuss, I would want to know more about writing for children and how to connect with young readers ans getting them to enjoy reading.

With James Patterson, I would want to know about writing for different age groups (children, teen, adult) and writing different types of books because I was pleasantly surprised to learn he writes graphic novels too! James Patterson is the one I would have the most questions for and speak the longest with. Also, he's at least alive. I don't stand a chance of meeting with Dr. Seuss.
