Most awards for a first time author

Hello everyone, I'm a bit new here.

Anyways, i am working on a project that requires me to know the most awards ever received by a first time author for a book he or she has written. A google search of this yields little or no information. If anyone here has any information on who this may be (and how many awards, thats the most important part) please let me know, thank you!

I can't be sure, but last I heard J.K. "Harry Potter" was wracking up the awards for her first book. Research in that area might lead to some good results. Best of luck!

Yes. Hard to imagine any first-time author garnering more awards than J K Rowling.

I'm not sure in terms of awards, but Jonathan Safran Foer sure got a lot of praise for Everything is Illuminated.
