Arthur Conan Doyle, Agatha Christy, John Sanford,Rita Mae Brown and Nora Roberts when she writes as J.D.Robb.

James Patterson and Lindsey Lanier.

Although I love Patterson Patterson's series and I am trying to read all of his works, I can't say that he has never let me down. Since most of his works these days are coauthored, I find that his quality is inconsistent.

So far Cassandra Clare (Roald Dahl as a child) I haven't disliked anything she has written. Laurel K Hamilton began letting me down around book 15/16 of her Anita Blake series which was a shame because I love most of the books before them.

Lee Child, C.E. Lawrence, Morgan Hannah Macdonald, Hannah Howell, Joey W. Hill, Richard Laymon -- Just to name a few!

Anne Rice or J K Rowling. I have grown up following both series. Though the characters and settings differ greatly both these authors write characters that are easy to love and root for.

Agatha Christie and Marissa Meyer NEVER disappoint me. A.G. Howard too! I just love how they weave their own stories into something captivating and engaging.

Jim Butcher, Brandon Sanderson, and Brian Jacques.

I am a book reviewer/blogger so there are a lot of author's that I can count on for a great read! one of my favorite authors is Barbara Erskine. She writes a wonderful story that you can sink your teeth into. You have to be a fan of historical fiction though.
