I grew up privileged. I travelled overseas with her family, attended private schools, and debuted internationally. But that’s not the life I chose for myself. Like my grandfather, I wanted to work in law enforcement. As a small-town cop, I found the unique joy in helping and protecting my community, but my other passion, writing, drew me back to school for more studies.
