Anyone read Elizabeth George?

Post by oloroso36 »

I just finished Careless in Red and I'm sooo happy we are finally through with "The Death of Helen". Did anyone else struggle through What Happened Before He Shot Her? (such a bad title) Careless is good, not as great as some of the early novels, but we are back on track. I have This Body of Death as well but I think I will savour the anticipation for awhile.

What do you think of her books in general? Can an American writer truly pull off a series set in Britain?
You must understand the whole of life, not just one little part of it. That is why you must read, that is why you must look at the skies, that is why you must sing and dance, and write poems and suffer and understand, for all that is life.

iamobama, if you have not read her before you should start with A Great Deliverance, the first in the Lynley series. Careless in Red is #15.

You can check out all of her books and find out more about the author at her web page, elizabeth george online dot com. I hope you enjoy them.
