New author Virginia Frazier and Dean Koontz

I have to say that Dean Koontz is not only well written, but he has an amazing ability to create creepy characters and situations. However, sometimes I do find too much similarity among the characters he creates (maybe I've read too many of his books).
Ken Follet has also become one of my favorites because I can both hate certain characters in his books and then find myself sympathizing with them when they're about to die. However, I do have to admit that I tried reading Code to Zero and didn't make it past the first several chapters (I have to try rereading that one).
I also have to say that I love finding new gems (authors that no one has heard of but I've loved their books). One of my new favs is Virginia Frazier, and I just hope that she decides to publish more. Let me know if you've heard of her, like her, or if you've heard of any other new great authors.
