New Books To Read

My mantra is "give a new book a go" and here are some personal preferences:

Oracle Of Stamboul - Michael David Lukas (historical fantasy)
Discovery Of Witches - Deborah Harkness (sorry, has a vampire)
Summer Without Men - Siri Hustvedt (thought-provoking)
Sandalwood Tree - Elle Newmark (time cross-over)
Flock - Lyn Hughes (house restoration with a twist)
Guardian Angel's Journal - Carolyn Jess-Cooke (kinda emotional)
Hector And The Secrets Of Love - Francois Lelord (psychiatrist/writer)
Me, Myself and Lord Byron - Julietta Jameson (journalist's journey)

Of course, for more seasoned authors I enjoy series of Sue Grafton, Janet Evanovich and "Bones" Kathy Reichs. I recommend my favourite Welsh writer Jasper Fforde (he's like Douglas Adams or Terry Pratchett) but I guess it depends on your own taste in literature.

Have fun, read them all!!

Hello,

You'd probably enjoy the novel I am reading now: Salve Regina, by Erica Fuentes & Annemarie Stonewater (Casablanca Publishing, 2010).

Michael.

You might like Danielle Steele, Debbie MacComber, and Nora Roberts. There are more series that V.C. Andrew wrote you can follow up on. She continued when her named changed also.

If you guys like inspirational fiction, I am a new author. I've had some great reviews on the first two books: The Power of Prayer and Where It All Began

If you like to read books that open your mind ........ I just read Journey to Yuwmah and so did my 16 year old son .... And we both got a lot out of it. The book is about the Yuwmahn people who have developed a civilisation that values human happiness above everything else. Their world is intriguing but there is so much to learn from them if we want to find our own happiness.
This book is kind of like a self development roadmap to happiness ... But the setting and story are really interesting.
