This post should probably be in the Authors forum but here goes:

A lot of his novels became movies or TV miniseries. And he wrote two plays "Roman Candle" and "The Bachelor and the Bobby-Soxer" (some may remember Cary Grant and Shirley Temple in that one). He also penned three children's picture books and a non-fiction novel "The Other Side Of Me" (2005). There's talk of a posthumous novel coming out in 2012.

So what do you like about him?

Ive only read one of his books, I dont remember the name but it was about women getting murdered with their throats cut. The killer would tie a red ribbon around their necks. I remember I liked it, seeing this post reminded me of that.

I have only read ' Rage of Angels ' and I really like it because of the 'mob' association.

Sidney Sheldon is the first author to introduce me to crime, suspense and a lot of thrill! His books are an escape route from the daily monotonous lives we lead. Each of his characters ( mostly female) are fresh and amazing to read about! After a few books the climax were kind off predictable but that did not stop me from reading those fast paced and smooth books.
The Doomsday Conspiracy and If Tomorrow Comes are my two personal favorite! both consist of completely different story lines and the mind put behind these plots are mind boggling! I hope you guys enjoy reading them as much as I did!

I have read all of Sydney Sheldon's 18 books and love them all. Unfortunately, he has passed on.

Another writer is continuing the Sheldon tradition and writes books using his original characters. I haven't tried any of those yet though.

Oh, Sidney! Where shall I start? I love the way he surprises me, I get so immersed when I'm reading his books.
Funny enough, I used to think Sidney Sheldon was a woman, the name just sounded feminine to me, lol.
