Nora Roberts is my favorite author. She has been since I was 11 years old and decided to read one of my mother's books. At one point I owned ALL of her books (hardcopies). Fans of hers will understand the sheer number that amounts to. I had to move so I gave them away and got a digital collection instead.

I just love how she writes romance, but she mixes it with so many other things. There's romantic fantasy, romantic suspense, police procedural romance, scifi romance, dystopian romance... If it's romance, she's probably done it. And her writing is good too, unlike most of those Harlequin writers. That's why I have every new book on preorder.

The Brontë sisters have never let me down! Just enough darkness and wow-I’m-glad-that’s-not-me-ness and realistic flaws to keep me interested, while somehow offering glimpses of pure soul connections that one longs for, despite nothing about the relationships ever being simple or pretty.

T.J.Klune is my new favorite author honestly. His Green Creek series honestly affects me more than any other series has ever before, and his book The House In The Cerulean Sea is definitely one of my favorites from this year (and likely of all time). He just writes the best characters. Not only is his writing so beautiful and poetic and his stories are so interesting, but his characters are so three dimensional and complex. It helps that he also writes hilarious dialogue.

My favorite writer is Johngreen. I like the way he blends science, philosophy, poetry etc in his book. His books are not only about main story line but what he builds around the story.
His books are thought-provoking.

I have authors I return to at least once a year these being: Jane Austen, JRR Tolkein, Dan Brown, Joanne Harris, Agatha Christie, Alexandr Dumas, and recently I turned back to Terry Brooks and to my surprise I still enjoy him. The list changes periodically for me though as I find new authors who I wish to reread and add to my shelves, and find my tastes have changed away from authors who I kept on my shelves for years.

I completely agree about the Bronte sisters, even though they do have that darkness to them, they wrote such incredible stories that still resonate.
