I like flawed characters, that part of your review is what sold this book to me. I love that there is a romance storyline too. Great review.

This interesting book follows a few characters as they attempt to overcome their personal traumas at Rainer, a place meant to help people heal. It's target audience is the youth and I especially appreciate the in depth character development as it's easy to relate to the troubled teens. Congrats on the BOTD!

When I read the book sample, I was highly engaged in the plot line and characters. A group of at risk teens are sent to a Washington boarding school to face their addictions and troubles while going to classes and navigating relationships. I can't wait to get back to reading. The book review was outstanding.

Does not sound like my cup of tea but I do like the idea that I will be better able to follow the story since I would be privy to it from every character's perspective, which is something I do enjoy.

Many teenagers could relate to this story. I heard boarding school mentioned for a sibling years ago, and I can only imagine how scared they must have felt knowing what they may face. Glad to see many teens band together to help one another.

If the reviewer said there was nothing to dislike about the book, that means Rainer was a good catalyst for the much needed change those troubled youth needed. We all need a place like Rainier, where we can face the truth in order to heal. Nice plot, exceptional editing, great review - These make me want to read the book. Congratulations on BOTD.

Interesting and inspiring plot. Coming-of-age stories always give me a sense of satisfaction. The fact that these serious mental and psychological issues are explored in the book is enough to recommend it to youngsters who are having a difficult time.

I read the sample of this book, and I honestly can't wait to read the whole of it. I can't wait to see how the tension between Holly and Jonathan plays out. I love YA novels, so I'll definitely check this book out.

In review, the book sounds lovely and quite intriguing. With mention of "shameful family secrets" it can't be helped where the mind drifts, and I just hope it won't be the case when one regrets eavesdropping and nothing awful is revealed. Thanks and congrats on BOTD!

After reading this review I am now reserving a time tonight to start reading this book! I am eager to get to know the characters and see how the author is able to let you know each characters side of events as she wrote it. This books seems just right for what has gone on in my life personally in recent events and maybe I can get some insight into what/how do people end up where they do!

I enjoyed reading your review after having read the first chapter of the book and the few pages prior. The first character we're introduced to wakes up in a hospital. Details of her behavior prior to that come out pretty quickly. She still has drugs in her system and is handcuffed to the bed. At the beginning of the first chapter she is already at the Rainer school. We start to get a glimpse of relationship dynamics right away.
Thank you for a beautifully written review of what promises to be a good read. I'm interested in the drama, and besides that my interest stems from having worked in a residential treatment center for adolescents at one point in my career as a therapist. What I read and from the review I know the book is realistic. Cudos to the author for BOTD

I'm amazed by this cover. The subject of the book is not like I imagined, but I would read a book about troubled teens. It's a common idea, but the book seems worth a try. Congrats on BOTD!

Giving troubled teens who are battling with addictions, mental illnesses, family problems, and many other issues a chance to heal is such a great thing. Sometimes all we need are people or places that will not be judgemental, and would help in the healing process.
Thanks for the review.
