Review of Just Like Majick
Magdalena Majick lost her parents at a younger age, including the house they lived in, and lived on the street for the better half of a year. After she got everything resolved, she gave out almost everything and anything she possessed and committed to taking people from the street. Tiffany, her friend, collects everything and anything about art in her antique and art shop, ‘Trash and Treasure’, formerly run by her late husband, Henry.
One morning, after Tiffany arrived at her shop, she noticed a cut on the window pane. She also discovered that the candles in the shop had been lit, with a love letter in a Victorian greeting card left behind by the burglar. When Magdalena learned about the break-in, she resolved to find the person and the reason behind the break-in. Would she unravel the identity and the motive of the burglar? The answer to this question is in the book Just Like Majick by D. L. Yoder.
This book has many positive aspects. Chiefly is the perfect character development, which adds value to the reader’s comprehension and enjoyment. I adored Magdalena Majick’s character the most in this book. I like her selflessness, empathy, and compassion. She’s also adventurous and always willing to solve every mystery she encounters. Again, the book featured exciting and captivating themes like adventure, mystery, spirituality, and romance, devoid of explicit scenes.
Additionally, I appreciate the author’s reminder about the spiritual teachings of why good people are not immune from life’s tragedies. This lesson made me reflect soberly upon my life and further strengthened my faith in God and the spiritual system. Another salient lesson taught by the author is the hand washing routine, which protects us from germs that could cause us harm as humans.
There is nothing that I dislike about this book. Although I found a few typos, mostly misplacements of punctuation marks and misspellings, they neither detracted from my comprehension nor enjoyment of this exciting and adventurous book. However, I recommend a touch of editing to correct the typos in the book.
I rate Just Like Majick 4 out of 5 stars for its exciting storyline, filled with adventure, mystery solving, suspense, and spiritual lessons. However, I am obliged to deduct a star from the rating of this book because I found more than ten typos.
I, therefore, recommend Just Like Majick by D. L. Yoder to readers who love adventure, mystery, spiritual, and romance books devoid of explicit erotic scenes.

It is indeed an engaging storyline that would keep you awake all night. I enjoyed every bit of my reading time. Thanks for stopping by!Ayan Shehzad wrote: ↑25 Jun 2023, 03:25 Based on the paragraph, it seems like "Just Like Majick" is a book that tells an intriguing story about Magdalena Majick and her friend Tiffany. The story deals with themes of loss, survival, and friendship, and it seems like the characters are well-developed and interesting. The break-in at Tiffany's shop adds a layer of mystery and suspense to the story, and the fact that Magdalena is determined to solve the case makes her a compelling protagonist. Overall, it seems like an engaging and well-written book that would be worth checking out.
