[Official Review for “Her Highness and the Highlander” (A Princess Bride Romance) by Tracy Anne Warren]

The main character in this story is Princess Mercedes from a little known kingdom apart from England. She has been pampered all her life but shows amazing skills at adapting to any situation despite her inexperience. She is strong, resilient, and smart. Major Daniel’s character is a little darker, worldlier but still he has honor. Together they make a strong couple. I found I very much liked the combination of their strengths and how they worked together.

This story is all about finding love and weathering adventure/intrigue. This is a common but exciting theme that keeps the reader interested. Warren does an excellent job of wrapping both genres’ together.

In the third person Warren is able to show both sides of both characters and what they are thinking. It helps the story move along nicely and keeps the reader interested in both characters. The descriptions are beautiful and pull you into the English countryside and style of living. I really enjoyed reading this book and would give it 5 out of 5.
