Fighting to ride is the book no. 5 of the Bontorus MC series, a heart melting romance novel. This story is about Kurt Ramchette and his journey from a child with distressed childhood, to the best boxer and biker, and then becoming the president of Bontorus MC, a place hard earned.
Kurt, though a boxer and biker with less skin and more tattoos, is a thorough gentleman. I don't fancy guys with tattoo but I couldn't help myself from falling for this guy. Kurt's character was carefully sketched by the author and the character lived up to my expectation till the very end of the book. Hats off to Debra Kayn for being able to pen down her creativity in the most amazing way possible.
Not only Kurt, but each character was carefully handled throughout the story no matter how big or small the role was be it the silver girls or Torque or lily with a one page's presence in the story if not less. The ability to carefully create a character and then being able to maintain it throughout the story is what makes one a great author. It took me almost 2 weeks to complete the story because of my inability to read it in one go but never once I had to rake my brain to remember who was who just because each character was able to leave an impact in my mind.
Now, what I loved the most about this book is the story of Risa Kohl and the silver girls. For this single reason I recommend everyone to read the book once because it’s not always that you get to read something like this. After Kurt, Risa is my second most favourite character because, though she was a damsel in distress, she never played that card. Risa is a strong, sexy, smart, and loving woman who only knows how to care for others and how to take care of herself. She keeps her employees safe in spite of running the most dangerous business for a women's honour. She runs this business because she wants to earn respect from everyone, respect she deserves.
I loved the pair of Risa and Kurt. The way Kurt made Risa nervous and recoiling back to her shell and the way he himself took her out of her shell, made her feel confident about herself. In the journey, both learned the meaning of love and the meaning of each other in their lives. I loved the way Kurt loved his woman and claimed her as his all the time. Each time Kurt touched Risa I could feel the touch and I could feel every emotion they shared together.
This book is a perfect combination of sensible story and erotic content. I usually stay away from erotic novels because I hate all the spanking and torturing stuff and no story at all. Fighting To Ride has a strong story and beautifully written love scenes which are graphic but not overdone. The love could me assumed or read as lust had the author not written it so perfectly. Hell, it's the best book I have ever read in this mixed genre.
I don't know what I disliked in this book because all I can remember is how good I felt after I finished reading the book. For once, I was not able to compare the writing style or story with any other book because this was simply unique, and I’m glad about that!
Rating – 4 out of 4. I wish I could give more than perfect rating.
