"The Tea Shop on Lavender Lane" by Sheila Roberts

Post by Carolynemery33 »

Hello all,

I lucked out and found this 5th installment to Life in Icicles Falls before the official release date. The book store accidentally put it out 3 days early and I jumped on the opportunity!

In the newest adventure into the life in this small, mountain town of Icicle Falls, Sheila Roberts doesn't miss a beat making you wish you lived there. Like the other books in the series, you have a point of view from each main character. Cecily Sterling is an independent, working woman helping the family business but missing a man in her life. Due to bad experiences in the past, she's being cautious with love. She has been playing cat and mouse with the town flirt, Todd Black. This is the type of man every woman in town swoons over and is a successful business owner of the local tavern. When Cecily's sister, Bailey, comes to town, sister jealousy gets in the way of what true love is really in front of them. Sheila makes yet another page turner. I can actually picture the characters as I read. The only downfall I had with this latest edition to the series, Sheila introduces a character towards the beginning and you start to grow interested in who this person is but then the character disappears. I won't tell who because of want you to form an opinion of your own or if it was just my yearning to know more on this person. Either way, I hope there's a book in the works to help tie this character into the charming, German town.

I'd recommend the series Life in Icicle Falls to a romantic who likes to get sucked into the characters and charming towns. Overall, Sheila Roberts did not disappoint with The Tea Shop on Lavender Lane.

Thanks,
Carolyn
