The Milch Bride: Western Historical Romance Series (Western Wives Book 1)
I have never read a book and felt such sorrow. Hattie was raped, bore a child that died from this rape, her father died from the beating her rapist gave him, and then she is hired as a wet nurse to the man that becomes her savior. Plot is well paced, historical details of life in this time period are great. This book is full of emotion, but joy does come in the morning, Hattie and Jackson find love, and the mystery of who caused all this destruction is solved. A great read!
