Buenos Días Lucy London by Iza MacLeod is about one woman's journey of life, focusing on her time in Buenos Días, Argentina. Lucy decides to travel to Argentina in order to learn Spanish. While there she goes on many adventures, both wonderful and scary. Either way she is always learning something while on her adventures. She finds love and heartbreak, friendship and people who disappoint her. She also spends time visiting other countries and gaining a cultural insight with locals that normal tourist wouldn't develop. In the end she must decide what she wants out of life, where she wants to be, and who she wants to spend her life with.

I think that Lucy's story could be classified both as a romance and as a coming of age story. She must deal with the pressures of being alone in a foreign place and all of the freedom that comes with. It makes anyone want to go live somewhere fascinating and have new, thrilling experiences. If you're not able to go and do that though, this book can let you experience it as though you are there with Lucy. It was also very interesting to read a story form the perspective of someone from Britain, while I am from America. It made the book even more fun and unpredictable. I caught myself laughing a few times while reading.

Iza MacLeod keeps you guessing at what is going to happen to Lucy and what kind of life she will end up living. Although the book goes kind of slow in the middle, at the end it picks up and becomes quite dramatic. It definitely left me wanting more of Lucy's adventures, which I can't wait to read about in the sequel. The book also ended in a way that left me satisfied. If a reader didn't want to read the next installment of Lucy London, they wouldn't need to in order to appreciate the story.

For me the book seemed very descriptive and imaginative. I felt like everything that happened was realistic and was portrayed very well. I was able to sense the emotions that Lucy was feeling and could imagine how her face would look in each moment. Not only did Iza MacLeod make Lucy, the main character, bring Lucy to life, she also brought other characters to life. Their thoughts, feelings, and actions seemed so real for the reader. To me, these are qualities of a very well written book.

I would give Buenos Días Lucy London by Iza MacLeod 4 out of 4 stars because it kept me interested the whole way through and left me feeling satisfied at the end yet at the same time wanting more. While this book would be enjoyed by a more feminine audience, I would recommend it to masculine people too. It might not be very appropriate for a younger audience though, as it involves sexual content. I found this book to be very inspiring, making me want to go on more adventures and learn about other cultures. If you are planning on taking a trip anytime soon this would also be a good read.

That's interesting that this book is for a mature audience. I'm glad you added that at the end of your review, because the cover suggests that the book is for a younger audience.
