Loving Helen (A Hearthfire Romance) by Michele Paige Holmes

I had read the first book, Saving Grace, quite a while ago, I didn’t remember the plot. I decided to read it again before I read the second book, Loving Helen. While reading Saving Grace, I found myself disliking Helen. I thought she was weak and didn’t like how she was painted compared to her sister Grace. I loved Saving Grace, and I love Michele Paige Holmes, so I decided to give Helen a chance to tell her side of the story. Slowly I warmed up to Helen, trying to get past her week character and see if she could give the “good guy” Samuel Preston a chance. The more Helen told her story, and the more Christopher (their loving brother) brought her past to light, you can’t help but love Helen and cheer for her and Samuel’s relationship. I so excited and can’t wait for the 3rd installment of this series. Once again Michele has done a great job writing a beautiful story.
