Official Review: The Winter King by C.L. Wilson

Post by WillowAsh »

As always C.L. Wilson does a great job of keeping her readers coming back for more. The first in her new series,Weather Mages of Mystral, The Winter King is an enchanting tale filled with magic, steamy romance, and deception. Wynter is the perfect hero; sexy, brusque, wary, and willing to do anything to save those he loves. Khamsin, the heroin of the story, is a refreshing mix of brutal honesty, temper, loyalty, and sass. I love when an author isn't afraid to have a strong female character. Their journey is filled with perilous situations, distrust and passion. No part of this book was boring. Every page had me on the edge of my seat waiting to see how it would play out. I can't wait for the next book in the series, The Sea King. I will definitely be buying it the moment it comes out.

I read the Tairen Soul series and loved it. I have not read any of her other books, but if she continues to have the same strong writing that I enjoyed in that series I would like to read more of her. I will will try The Winter King next. Thanks for the suggestion!
