STORY LINE:

Levi Blackthorn, former Navy Seal, is leader of the Rescue Bears Team and owner of Fate Mountain Lodge on Fate Mountain; he is lonely and needs to find his fated mate. One of the rescue group has created a computer program and website to match shifters and humans.

Juliet Hernandez is a curvy human woman who endured years of emotional abuse from her ex-boyfriend. After she finally left him, she finds he is her new boss and the abuse continues. She is lonely and needs someone in her life to love and meet her emotions needs.

CHARACTERS, PLOTTING, AND DEVELOPMENT:
Author Scarlett Grove's character development was very good. Ms. Grove brought Scarlett from an introverted, insecure, frightened young lady to a confident and secure woman. Levi's character was wonderful. He is strong and brave, yet, he has insecurity issues with becoming involved with a human again.

The pace and plot of the book was spot on; it did not lag or slow. I found this book an easy relaxing read. Though not a long novel, the author included all the elements needed to create a satisfying story and bring it to a successful conclusion.

The explicit sexual scenes in the book were not over-long nor did the story depend on explicit sex to sell the story. I do not care for books that rely on sex without a satisfying story-line. The sexual attraction between our characters was a must have and Ms. Grove created the right amount of attraction and hot heat to keep you interested.

Ms. Grove has left many options for a series in this book and I look forward to seeing more of the Rescue Bears in the future.


RECOMMENDATION:
This book will appeal to anyone that enjoys a well written paranormal shifter romance novel. I recommend this book to young adults and adults due to sexual content and language.
