But from the free sample pages and the review you wrote i think theres more to this...
Zia's character and response to situations around her is something one can reckon with , hence the book has managed to capture the sentimental point of one's life..
Though you stated the present vivid descriptions of crime , something i dont enjoy much but willing to give a try ...
Looking forward to encountering the "effortless humor "you mentioned.
Well put review.
It certainly did capture my attention..
I love your choice of words too ..

I don´t know if I really want to take a deep dive into a serial killer´s mind. I wonder, does the book describe what´s going through his mind whilst murdering someone? Ugh.
Enjoyed your review, though. Thanks ritah!

A mixture of romance with suspense and crime will surely add spice to the book.
Nice work on the review.

How did you find the editing? I might have misread something. On one of the first pages, is there a word choice mistake: 'socialism' instead of 'socialising' (sample, 12%)? It threw me off for a second, but I kept reading.
You're so right about the characterisation. I already like how the writer sets up relationships across the book. Although it would be nice to see a main female character who is older rather than young and naive - and, really, are 23-year-olds that naive? Competent enough to speak at a NY writers' conference, yet unable to interact with another human in a lift? Something is slightly off. I understand the need for a naive protagonist, but still, I like my characters a bit more aware.
