I know this is probably a horrible comparison but this book reminds me of the Supernatural TV series.
I'm not usually a fan of supernatural romances or any fantasy books to that matter, but I think I'll give this book a chance because the premise of situating all the plot in the dream realm seems interesting and a bit frightening, to be honest.
Your review is both enthusiastic and critical, thank you. And thanks for adding the warning about the rape and violence trigger, I usually avoid books that are too gruesome on this topics, and I appreciate the warning.

This sounds incredibly interesting. I love the idea of saving someone in his dream. Although Jaime's vascillating feelings toward Collin would be a but annoying, I think I would really enjoy this book. Excellent review.

Sounds like a really good book. I like paranormal/fantasy elements. Thanks for your review.

While I appreciate the thorough review, any novel that delves into grotesque and gruesome behavior is not for me. The concept of battles within the act of dreaming is interesting, however.

The plot is definitely unique. I can imagine Jaime's death wish after seven decades of restless sleep. The sample had only tiny errors; I guess the author had the book cleansed after you read it. The violence and sex are quite graphic, however, and may turn off sensitive souls.

Very vivid pictures in your review, Kabayan!

Thank you for your review. Unfortunately, I am afraid that these raw and violent stories of dark fantasy romance are not of my preference when it comes to books. At least it seems to have elements that will appeal to the fans of the genre.

There are a lot of novels with this genre, especially love triangles among the paranormals. It seemed there is a new plot in this book, with the protagonist obsessed with her own demise. I hope this is different from the usual story abounding this genre.

This book has a pretty interesting concept. The idea of there being demons hidden in the depths of your conscious, ready to kill you in your sleep is very unsettling. I don't know how I feel about the romance, though. I think there was potential to go a different route for this story. I also don't think graphic scenes of assault are necessary for a book like this. I will give this one a pass. Thank you for your insightful review!

Great review. You did a great job at really explaining the book without giving too much away. I am intrigued by the plot. Sounds like it could be a great read with the dreams aspect.

The book sounds like an interesting take on Jamie killing demons in victims' dreams to protect the victims. Thanks for mentioning the explicit, gruesome, and violent scenes to warn readers who may be more sensitive to those things. The romance between Jamie and Collin should be a complicated one.
