It sounds like this author created a success with this one and tied it successfully to other incarnations of the characters. It's great that you enjoyed it. It is not my genre but I appreciate the review.

The unique combinaton of sisterly love between Jessie, Lucian's wife, and Aniela and romance between Aniela and Jaylon intrigues me. Thanks for the wonderful review.

An exciting historical romance with well-developed and relatable characters. Romance novels are my favorite, particularly those with fast-paced action and love triangles. I am looking forward to reading the series. Thanks for the review!

The review grabs you with the promise of an epic love story with mystery, suspense and lots of angst thrown in for good measure. I would be inclined to read this book as the review implies that the book goes beyond the run of the mill romance.

The storyline is interesting with love, loyalty and drama. The characters seem well-developed. Thanks for the free copy and I am excited to read the first book too. Good review. Congrats on BOTD!

As a historical romance, I imagine it brings some historical events into the narrative. I’m curious as to what moments of history it would include. Or is it more of a period piece where it is just fun to delve into older times?

This is a historical romance novel, and the author has written a trilogy. I noticed the presence of twins in the story. Those who like this genre may enjoy reading it.

A historical romantic novel that begins when Aniela was kidnapped and taken by her captor to a house of horrors. She just escaped and returned to her childhood home. True to its genre, this book will definitely appeal to romantics.

A romance tale revolving around a runaway girl who was abducted by a monster and lived to tell about it sounds interesting.

Thanks for your review! The book seems a little confusing to me because I haven't read the previous book in the series. I wonder how Aniela managed to escape her captors and why they kidnapped her in the first place. This is probably answered in the previous book. I can't imagine how Aniela felt once she discovered that her father had died and Jaylon had remarried. One draw for me is the lively banter employed by the author.

Complex characters, good editing, and fast pace make it a good read for fans of this genre. However, this is not in my area of interests
Feeling upset sometimes may be unavoidable, but acting distressed is always optional.

Sounds like a great read for romance readers. I love that it is part of a series, too! I am not much of a romance reader, personally, but congrats on BOTD!

Your review was a very engaging one. I enjoyed reading it. Makes me want to read the book as well.. The fact that this is a love story despite being that of a captive, is remarkable. It's great from the part of the author that they have managed to write such a page-turning story where 450+ pages can be read in a day.
