It will be interesting to read about the story of Job's wife. I like the moral lessons that these biblical stories contained as it will make us ponder on the happenings of today and guide us on our relationship with God.

This sounds unique and so fascinating. I'm not Christian, so I'm not familiar to this biblical tale. Also, religious book is not my cup of tea. Great review!

I found this name, Ix’ises, unique! But the book is quite confusing to me. The narrative is a bit difficult.

The story of Job from the bible is a brilliant choice. I think it would capture the interest of most Christian readers. I know that there are a lot of lessons to find in this book and it makes me want to read it soon.

While I’m not Christian, I do appreciate new retellings of Biblical stories, especially if they present new perspectives. This book sounds unique enough to be compelling even for non-Christian readers of Christian fiction. Thank you for the helpful review.

The Legacy of Job's Wife contains vivid moments told through heart-warming descriptions. Every detail is well-designed to help paint a picture in the reader’s mind. From the terrain, the cuisine, the culture, and the architecture, Cynthia Koelker must have carefully considered different aspects when coming up with the story. The tale also tallies to the Biblical account in many aspects providing a deeper understanding of the actions of Job’s wife. Ix’ises anguish on losing her children is made tangible through Koelker’s powerful descriptions and her ability to narrate.
I reviewed this book too and the descriptions are, indeed, fascinating. It must have taken an enormous amount of research but the narrative doesn't come across as textbook-like. It was one of my favorite aspects if this book.
Great review!

I'm familiar with the story of Job, but never considered his wife's perspective. I have added this book to my reading list. Great review!

I find the concept of this book intriguing. It’s my first time encountering a religious book with a mixture of bittersweet romance. I will definitely read this to know more about the story of Job and Ix’ises.

This is a very mesmerizing picture of what one should expect from this book without giving away the details. A different point of view always adds layers of understanding to any story.

I like it when a known and popular story is recreated to make it more interesting just like in the case of the biblical story of Job and his wife. Nice review!

It's always good to see the other person's point of view too. Job's story is in the Bible, so it's refreshing to see a story of Job's wife and how she would've seen things.
Possibly it was the mesmerizing eyes, their delightful friendship or her gift in music that made Job fall in love with Ix’ises.
-Ladies wiles(talents) are used all the time and maybe she used it too, to capture Job's heart. But unfortunately their two backgrounds don't mix and seem to be the problem. So I'm curious to know if the story provides a compromise or do they part ways. Thank you for the review.
