You give a really good review and make me feel as though I already know Maria! I think I will give this one a miss as infidelity is not my favourite thing to read about. Thanks for the great review.

After reading the review, I do not like the book at all. It seems Marla is a selfish person, treating her husband poorly which he does not seem to deserve. I hope at the end, the author has provided justification for Marla being the way she is and she is remorseful for her actions. Also why do men approach her when they know she is married, maybe Marla has projected such a character of her own accord. But Marla’s dissatisfaction from her marriage is totally unjustified. As a reader Michael seems like a good husband who is trying to save his marriage but Marla seems to have completely given up.

Books surrounding extra marital affairs should definitely show remorse and redemption in the adulterer’s character at the end, this book has an abrupt ending without valid character justification.

Exactly! Thanks for your comment.

Good point. Thanks for your comment.

I agree with your comments about the ending. Marla received grace but didn't really show remorse. Thanks for your comment.

No real plot or character development. I did not enjoy this one, have no desire to continue the series.

The Character of Marla seems like a confused married woman who is also a professional worker but doesn't really know what she wants. I also like the humour during the discussion with her sister. It is a book for so much drama lovers. Good review.

Oooof, sounds like it's not the book for me. I really like stories with strong women in it but at the same time, I am not into the idea of cheating and the need to be treated like a queen instead of working out differences.

Marla's character is put to match the book title 'The White Collar Woman'.Although the book written from a protagonist view,it shows us the life of this woman referred from the title through Marla. She works her 'butt'off as she says, she's not all conservative like one would expect from a married woman and she's struggling for her place right in the midst of all the men around her.

Your review suggests there is a problem with the character development of Maria in the story. But on the other hand there are such Maria like characters in the world. Perhaps, the story line tries to capture the life of such people in the raw. Thank you for your detailed review of the book.

Thank you for this beautiful review! The book sounds interesting and unique, I'd love to give it a try. I don't have much experince with this genre, so it would be adventurous.
